See the Summer Mural | 2024

The Downtown Knoxville mural signals a change in the season, and we're so excited to bring you the latest edition!

Artist MeganLingerfelt finds inspiration in nature, and this creation brings some "glory" to #StrongAlley! Waking up early with the sun, morning glories mark the longer days of summer. This design uses a red, white, and blue palette paired with the blue violet of the blooms to cheer on the athletes competing in the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials—Diving in Knoxville during June. Hope everyone has a vibrant season! 

The 2024 summer mural—part of Dogwood Arts' Art in Public Places Mural Program—is the 19th in the series by Megan. 

The seasonal mural serves as a fun photo backdrop for both residents and visitors celebrating the changing seasons. It's located at the south end of Strong Alley, between Market Square and Gay Street (near local-favorite Coffee & Chocolate).
