See the Winter Mural | 2024-2025
The Downtown Knoxville mural signals a change in the season, and we're so excited to bring you the latest edition!
Artist Megan Lingerfelt finds inspiration in nature, and has created a cool and crisp piece for this season's mural.
This festive mural features a winter blooming flower with many names: Hellebore, Lenton Rose, winter rose. The background hatching lines loosely reference holiday patterns you see in flannel, wrapping paper, and tablecloths for holiday feasts. Front and center is a winter blooming flower with many names: Hellebore, Lenton Rose, winter rose.
The 2024-2025 winter mural—part of Dogwood Arts' Art in Public Places Mural Program—is the 21st in the series by Megan.
The seasonal mural serves as a fun photo backdrop for both residents and visitors celebrating the changing seasons. It's located at the south end of Strong Alley, between Market Square and Gay Street (near local-favorite Coffee & Chocolate).
Grab your photo with this mural the next time you’re in Downtown Knoxville and share on social media using the hashtag #LoveDowntownKnox. Check out a few of our past seasonal murals in the gallery below.
See you downtown for a busy winter! 😎
